Gardaí at the scene of an assault at James’ Street in Tralee on Tuesday morning.
Kerry gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an assault that occurred on James’ Street in Tralee on Tuesday morning at approximately 11.15 am.
A person was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry (UHK) for treatment of their injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
A man in his 40s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in the county for questioning.
He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A member of the public reported seeing a large volume of blood on the footpath adjacent to one of the houses on the street.
Gardaí say that its investigations are ongoing.
