Man charged with assault of Limerick hip-hop performer

A MAN has been charged with the assault of a Limerick-based hip-hop performer who has been left blind in one eye.

Dylan Tully, 27, of Parkview Court, Lord Edward Street, Ballinacurra, Limerick, appeared before Limerick District Court charged with the assault of Tobi Omoteso on the Moylish Roundabout on the Old Cratloe Road Limerick, on March 28, 2026.

Mr Tully has been charged with assault causing harm contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.

The man has also been charged with damage to property of a black Nissan Qashqi car, belonging to Mr Omoteso.

Mr Tully was granted bail on condition that he have no contact with the injured party, that he provide a contact number to gardaí, surrender his passport, reside at his home address and sign on at Roxboro Garda Station on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The case has been put back to September 23, 2026 for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
