Aaron’s former football club, Clonaslee United, expressed heartbreak at his passing, describing him as “blessed with pace” and a “tricky winger”

Friends and family belonging to talented Irish DJ, Aaron Culleton, have been left devastated after the gifted musician passed away earlier this week.

Tributes have not stopped pouring in for Aaron, who passed away on Monday. The popular Co. Laois man was remembered by one friend as “the best person I have ever known”.

Aaron’s former football club, Clonaslee United, expressed heartbreak at his passing, describing him as “blessed with pace” and a “tricky winger”.

“Everyone at Clonaslee United was devastated to hear of the sad passing of Aaron Culleton (Azza). As a younger player he was blessed with pace and was a tricky winger for most defenders and also had a good eye for goal,” wrote the club on social media.

“While work commitments prevented him from playing in recent years, he was part of the winning team of our clubs last cup success in 2015, scoring the winner in the semi final en route to the final. Clonaslee United would like to extend their deepest condolences to Bernadette,Conor and all his extended family. May he RIP,” the club added.

Aaron’s Funeral Mass will take place will take place on Friday May 1 at 12pm in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery.

Aaron’s death notice on RIP.ie reads: “Aaron Culleton, Coolaboughlan, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died on the 27th of April 2026, suddenly, at his residence. Very precious son of Bernadette & loving brother of Conor. Aaron will be sadly missed by his sorrowing aunt Geraldine, cousins Ronan, Corrinne and Ewan, work colleagues, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.”

One friend wrote on social media: “This is by far the hardest post I’ve ever had to make and it truly breaks my heart – Aaron my brother and the best person that I have ever known.”

Another close friend said: “RIP Aaron Culleton, I cannot believe this. Lost for words, I can’t make sense of it. For those who never got the chance to know Aaron, he was an absolute gentleman, he was great craic and an incredibly talented DJ too.”

A third person said: “He was the kindest person you could meet, so helpful. Always had a smile on his face and was so warm and welcoming to everyone. My sincere condolences to all his family.”
