The former Lemongrass restaurant unit at John’s Bridge (Bateman Quay) in Kilkenny City looks set to become a steak and cocktail bar.
Local property agents Sherry FitzGerald McCreery confirmed the news on social media, saying: “Congratulations to Flame Steak House & Cocktails, who are currently fitting out at Batemans for their exciting new venture.

Councillor Seán Ó hArgáin has also welcomed the news, saying: “Delighted to see this spot closed for such a short time. Best of luck to the new owners.”

The previous occupiers (trading as Lemongrass) closed the unit back in January and expressed how ‘incredibly grateful’ they were for the ‘support and loyalty’ shown throughout their years in Kilkenny.
