A settled week has been forecast but temperatures will be cooler for this time of year

Met Eireann has forecast cooler temperatures this week alongside settled conditions.
There will be a mix of cloud and some sunny intervals across the country today. Most areas will stay dry but a few showers are possible in the south and northwest. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees are forecast with light north to northwest winds.
Tonight will start mainly dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Scattered showers will develop in the north and west overnight. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees are forecast with light north to northwest or variable winds.
Tomorrow morning will be mainly cloudy, with showers in the north and west. The showers will move southwards through the day and will be followed by drier weather with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees are forecast with light northerly winds.

Tuesday Night
“Clear and mostly dry albeit a little cool. A few mist patches will form too. A weak northerly breeze with lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.”
Wednesday
“A bright and mostly dry start but it will turn perhaps a little more cloudy later in the morning. A few showers will bubble up in the afternoon across eastern counties, elsewhere remaining dry. Light winds and highs of 11 to 13 degrees.”
Wednesday Night
“Cloudy overall with any lingering showers clearing away. Light winds will become moderate westerly overnight. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.”
Thursday
“A mostly cloudy but dry start however rain will develop in the west later in the morning, spreading east across the country during the afternoon and evening with moderate to fresh westerly breezes. Highs of 10 to 12 degrees.”
Friday
“Perhaps a more unsettled day overall with plenty of cloud throughout and scattered showers developing in the afternoon. Cool too with a northerly breeze and highs of 9 to 12 degrees.”
