A husband who put his hands around his partner’s neck during a row after finding out she had cheated on him deeply regretted his behaviour, a court heard.
Vasile Chitoroaga (41) lost his temper, and immediately apologised for his behaviour, a solicitor said. The defendant’s partner had since withdrawn her statement of complaint, but the State had proceeded with the charge, after he admitted his behaviour during garda interviews.
