Ireland will expect to finish their Women’s Six Nations campaign as ‘the best of the rest’, with a home win against Scotland next weekend in Dublin.
A better performance will also crown a season of much promise, dappled with regrets. After completing this second leg of their task with relative ease, sprinkled with moments of needless anxiety against feisty opponents, their gradual improvements align with nagging inconsistencies.
