Star of popular game show The Chase set to host charity quiz in Limerick

ONE of the stars of the popular television game show The Chase will be at Thomond Park next month to host a charity table quiz.

Darragh Ennis, nicknamed The Menace, is one of the six ‘chasers’ on the ITV1 quiz show, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

They are professional quiz experts whose job it is to stop contestants from winning prize money.

But now he will take the role as host of The Ultimate Table Quiz, which will take place in the Munster Suite of Thomond Park on Saturday, June 13 next.

He is the quizmaster for the event, which is being organised by Limerick man Neil Madigan.

“It’s something different – it’s a bit of a novelty to have a quizmaster of his calibre in Limerick,” he says.

Kicking off at 7pm, it costs €100 to enter the quiz for a team of four people.

There is a raffle and prizes available for the winners, and all the money raised is going to the Cystic Fibrosis Lourdes Fund.

There will also be a chance to meet-and-greet ‘The Menace’, and have a photo taken with him.
