A man in his 60s has died following a crash involving a tractor in Co Leitrim.
The single-vehicle collision happened on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong, shortly before 11pm on Sunday, 17th May 2026.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, where the driver was sadly pronounced deceased.
The road remains closed while gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
The incident brings to six the number of people killed on roads across the island of Ireland during a devastating weekend.
Three people lost their lives following two separate collisions in Donegal on Saturday.
Caoilan Bushe, 30, from Letterbarrow, near Donegal Town, and Leon Shovlin, 27, from Ardara, both died at the scene of a collision on the main Donegal-Ballybofey road on Saturday afternoon.
Four other people were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

On Sunday morning, a young man in his 20s, who is believed to have been from Derry, died following a crash in Inishowen on Saturday night.
The man was critically injured in a single-vehicle collision on the R238 at Ardmore, Muff. He later died at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.
A man also died following a two-vehicle collision in Omagh on Sunday morning.
In Dublin, a pedestrian in her 20s died after being struck by a car on the N11 Bray Road in Loughlinstown.
