Seamus Coleman’s long association with Everton comes to an end this summer, with the defender set to join a new club in a bid to continue his international career with Ireland.
David Moyes was keen to keep the Donegal man at the club as a coach. However, Heimir Hallgrimsson has suggested that the 37-year old is set to continue his playing career elsewhere.
It is difficult to picture Seamus Coleman sporting the kit of another club side, having been at Everton since joining from Sligo Rovers back in 2009 (a brief loan stint at Blackpool aside).
In saying that, here are six clubs that could be potential options for him this summer as he aims to carry on with Ireland.

Possible next clubs for Ireland star Seamus Coleman
Coventry City
This one was first proposed by RTÉ pundit Alan Cawley and in many ways looks like the perfect destination for Seamus Coleman this summer.
Frank Lampard is a huge fan of his from their time together at Everton, crediting the Donegal man for being the driving force behind the club rescuing their Premier League status at the time.

As a squad short on top flight experience, bringing in someone such as Coleman would be a shrewd move ahead of their return to the Premier League next season.
Celtic

As a big Celtic fan in his youth, Seamus Coleman would no doubt find it difficult to turn down a move to Glasgow were it on the table.
He would still have something to offer on the field at Celtic, while his voice would be a valuable one in the dressing room. The club have lost some big leaders in recent seasons and adding someone such as Coleman to their group would make a lot of sense.
This signing would look even more likely if Martin O’Neill stayed on his manager, with the pair having worked well together with Ireland in the past.
Wrexham
Recommended
As a club always looking to make a splash in the transfer market, Wrexham would be no doubt be attracted to the prospect of adding someone of Seamus Coleman’s pedigree to the squad for next season.
The Welsh side just missed out on the Championship play-offs in recent weeks and may feel a couple of high calibre additions could push them into the promotion race in the upcoming campaign. They are also set to lose starting right back Issa Kabore as he returns to Manchester City this summer after his loan spell.
Wrexham lost a big personality when James McClean left back in January, a role Coleman would be more than capable of filling.
Derby County
A bit of a rogue shout, but it’s one that makes sense on a couple of different levels.
First off, Derby are managed former Ireland assistant John Eustace, who would have worked with Seamus Coleman during his brief spell in Stephen Kenny’s staff.
The Rams are also in need of a right back, having not had a stable option at that position in recent times. They may also feel that adding some experience will bolster their promotion hopes ahead of next season having fallen just short of the play-offs earlier this month.
Brentford

Could Keith Andrews look to link up with Seamus Coleman once again this summer? Stranger things have happened.
Brentford would not offer the same amount of playing time as the other options on this list, but they are a club that value leadership in the dressing room. Jordan Henderson was recruited for a similar reason last summer.
Andrews knows Coleman very well from his time with Ireland and may well feel he had something to add for a season as a backup for Michael Kayode.
It is a slightly unlikely option, but not beyond the realms of possibility.
Sligo Rovers
A fairytale return to Sligo Rovers would be quite the end to Seamus Coleman’s career, having started his time as a pro at The Showgrounds almost two decades ago.
However, it seems unlikely for a few reasons.
The Donegal man will have international football in mind when it comes to his next move, with Heimir Hallgrimsson having showed a reluctance to select players in the League of Ireland for games of real consequence.
The Irish footballing calendar also makes it slightly awkward and Coleman may not want to risk sitting out this winter considering his potential lack of time left as a player. Budgetary issues could also be a factor.
Still, it would be some story.
