The death has occurred of Geraldine Trant (née Lynch), Gortnana, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Moygalla, Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare, 26th May 2026. Geraldine passed away peacefully after a long illness.
Predeceased by her infant daughter Ciara, parents Michael and Molly, and brother Seán.
Geraldine will be dearly missed and remembered with love by her loving husband Stephen, daughters Calla (André), Stephanie (Mark), Paula (Seán), son Colm (Ashley), and her adored grandchildren William, Eoin, Molly, Donal, Eva and Méabh.
Deeply regretted by her sisters Margaret, Mary, Breda, Carmel and Ber, brothers Michael, Seamus and Flan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Geraldine will repose at Martin’s Family Rooms, Newbliss (H18 C962), on Wednesday, May 27th, from 4pm to 8pm.
A cremation service will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, on Thursday, May 28th, at 3pm.
