Katie Price has spoken about tracking down her husband Lee Andrews after a brief phone call from a Dubai jail
Katie Price has spoken publicly for the first time about how she located her missing husband Lee Andrews.
The former glamour model disclosed that Lee had been traced on Wednesday following a brief telephone conversation from a Dubai prison where he is presently being held. On her podcast released on Thursday, she enthused: “Today was the day, which is why I’m happy, Lee has been found. Alive. Woop.”
After an audible sigh from sister Sophie, Katie said: “All I know is that, they thought he was a spy so he was interrogated.”
Sophie again interrupted to joke if they thought he was heartthrob James Bond, before sternly saying her sister’s man is certainly not her type. Katie went on to express gratitude to the police and foreign embassy for their assistance during the ordeal, describing it as “a worry” for her.
Katie also disclosed the frank message she delivered to her partner during the short exchange, confessing he is the “most hated man in Britain”. She said the assertion stunned her husband and she told him: “Trust me, you are the most hated man in Britain. Everyone thinks this is a scam,” reports the Mirror.
She revealed Lee asked if she thought he was dead and she explained it had crossed her mind as she was completely in the dark about what was happening.

Katie acknowledged she only managed to speak to Lee for one minute and was informed he was interrogated and had a hood placed over him. “That’s all I know,” she said. “Oh, I did ask him,” she said regarding his apparent phone activity. “He hasn’t been on his phone. He hasn’t had his phone. He’s been interrogated. They’ve gone through his phone, so they’ve been mucking about on his phone. It’s not been Lee. He hasn’t got his phone.”
Sophie questioned the other woman Lee followed, but Katie insisted Lee wasn’t responsible for this. She told her sister: “What happened with that other woman was apparently she activated her account and maybe she followed Lee or Lee followed her years ago.
“They’ve never exchanged messages or nothing. So she’s blocked him and that’s why it’s gone back.”
However, she maintained the “public deserve” to know what’s happened and is prepared to insist her husband does a sit-down interview to set the record straight.
Katie then suggested she would make a “good detective” after successfully tracking down her fourth husband. “You know I’ve wanted to be a paramedic,” she told her sister. “I might try and be a detective. They said ‘it’s not the same kind of money Kate, but…’
“They said I’ve helped so much, the way I think of about things and giving them clues which they obviously know from intelligence, that they actually said ‘do you know what Kate, we do a lot of these cases and you would be a good detective yourself’.”
Meanwhile, Sophie disclosed their mum’s frustration at Katie releasing a song for Lee during the search. She confessed their mum was “so p***ed off” when she heard the track as Katie claimed she had recorded it for her. Their father’s reaction was much the same. Sophie revealed she could hear him listening to it upstairs, catching his groans of “oh my God”.
Despite voicing her concerns, Katie claimed her friends had picked up on how positive she had remained throughout the entire ordeal. She put this down to years of therapy having helped reshape her mindset, allowing her not to be thrown off course by things beyond her control.
