Jennifer Lopez is a strong, independent woman, and she definitely does not need Ben Affleck.

The “Hustlers” star has found herself in a relationship with Affleck multiple times since meeting on the set of “Gigli,” even tying the knot in 2022. Now, two years after the divorce was finalized, Lopez admits she shouldn’t have waited so long to end the relationship. “I should have done it sooner,” she told Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show. “I’ve been doing it all wrong, trust me.”

Kimmel then asked if Lopez would consider becoming the next “Bachelorette” lead, although she shot that suggestion down immediately. “Are you crazy? I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now,” she said. “[Being single is] fantastic. I love it.”

JLo isn’t worried about meeting someone, no matter how bad the dating scene seems to be. “I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they’re good enough,” she said.

Previously, Lopez said she’s in her “happy era,” telling Nightline in March, “For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m free. I’m on my own. And it feels really good.”

She continued, “I didn’t really know what that felt like since I was in my early 20s, and even before that. I’ve always had a boyfriend. There was always kind of like, someone in my life, and so many things that I felt like were out of my control. And I just am at a point in my life where I really trust myself and have learned to appreciate myself a little bit more.”
