Rob Kenny chose the beautiful setting of the French Riviera to marry his longtime love, Shane Cassidy, on Saturday.
It was only fitting that the PR guru and his hubby chose the fabulous city of Antibes for their nuptials, since that’s where they got engaged in August 2023.
After a lavish soirée on Thursday, Rob and Shane said ‘I do’ in front of their friends and family on May 23, at Bastide du Roy. It’s a former royal residence that was later bought by fashion designer Jeanne Lanvin.

Over the years, the estate has changed hands, but its beauty and integrity have remained intact; Just ask Bianca and Mick Jagger, who rented the residence for an entire summer in 1921.
Rob and Shane were fortunate enough to have been the first Irish couple to book their nuptials in the French venue, but because of their lengthy engagement, another Irish couple ‘swooped in’ and have already tied the knot there.
Not to worry, though, as the couple’s nuptials were still beyond magical.

The way their wedding was organised, their guests were treated to a welcome reception in the estate’s ‘Versailles-esque’ gardens, which restricted their view of the venue.
The guests were then led into the ceremony garden, which Rob told EVOKE is ‘equally as beautiful’.
Then, led through to the Champagne garden, guests were treated to Rob’s favourite Champagne, Laurent Perrier.

The couple’s wedding hosted a live string quartet in the Champagne garden, and then it was through to the pool area, and Rob’s epic tablescape, which is where guests got their first glimpse at the venue.
The PR guru managed to wrangle Irishwoman Niamh Costelloe as one of his wedding planners through a connection she has with Glenda Gilson.
We’re assured Niamh is the best in the biz and helps plan A-list celebrities’ summers in the French Riviera.

It wouldn’t be a Rob Kenny extravaganza without a star-studded guest list, and a host of well-known faces voyaged to the South of France to celebrate the PR guru and his hubby.
Glenda Gilson, Shauna Lindsay, Triona McCarthy, Avila Lipsett, James Kavanagh, Thalia Heffernan, Eric Roberts, Louise Cooney, and Lynn Kelly were all in attendance.

Photos from the wedding show the venue in all its glory, with the guests going all out with their outfits on the day.
The couple is set to host their day two at Copal Beach in Cannes, which Rob joked was ‘an absolute miracle’ to secure a booking at, as it’s one of the most famous beach clubs in the area.

‘We have some amazing surprises up our sleeves for that day to keep guests entertained,’ Rob teased, as he shared his excitement at securing a hot spot for Hollywood A-listers.
Rob popped the question to his longtime love, Shane, in August 2023.

At the time, he shared that he was officially off the market… forever, by writing: ‘To the future Mr & Mr. The most magical few days… I’m still bawling.’
