On Saturday, May 30 at 8:25 a.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched 24 Starlink satellites to Low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This will be the 22nd flight for the Falcon 9 on this mission which previously launched: USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, NROL-145, and 18 previous Starlink missions.

The flight also showcased SpaceX’s reusable rocket technology, with the first-stage booster completing its 16th mission before making a precise landing on the autonomous drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.

Notably, the launch occurred just 12 hours after a Blue Origin pre-launch explosion at a nearby launch pad, underscoring SpaceX’s ability to maintain its rapid launch schedule despite activity and setbacks elsewhere on the Space Coast.

Future Launches

SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, June 3, 2026, for its next Falcon 9 launches, conducting a rapid back-to-back deployment of Starlink broadband satellites from Florida and California. Additional commercial missions scheduled for later in June include Sirius SXM-11 and Globalstar 2-R.

Beyond standard orbital deliveries, SpaceX is preparing for major non-Falcon milestones later this month. Most notably, they are targeting June 2026 for Flight 13 of Starship out of Starbase, Texas, marking the second flight test utilizing the upgraded Starship V3 vehicle.
