Can you help find Eleanor
Staff at one Irish animal charity are ‘heart-broken’ at the loss of a beloved pony that had become a mascot for their work – racing to the rescue of abused and abandoned animals in Cork and across much of the rest of the country.
The well-known My Lovely Horse charity say ‘Eleanor’ – a mare – was taken from their compound in Edenderry in Co. Offaly over the weekend. Now they are appealing for information from the public to help track down their missing horse. Eleanor is a grey pony with a white mane and a dark tail.
One of the charity’s supporters has offered a € 1,000 reward for any information that would lead to her safe return.
Posting to social media, My Lovely Horse volunteers said:
“This sweet little girl was rescued two years ago and has done nothing to deserve this. If the person or people responsible are reading this, please do the right thing and return her safely.
Whatever your feelings towards the rescue, Eleanor is innocent and should not be caught in the middle. If you have any information about where Eleanor may be, no matter how small it seems, please contact us. Every call, text, and message will be treated in the strictest confidence.

My Lovely Horse rescues, rehabilitate and rehomes unwanted, neglected and abused animals with the aim of giving them a life worth living. Just last year, they drove for 7 hours to rescue a puppy at risk of freezing to death in Limerick.
