A young Cork business founder has been remembered as “fiercely loved by all who knew him” after his tragic death. Paul Collins, who lived in Glanmire, passed away unexpectedly after an accident at home on Saturday.
Paul, from Waterfall, co-founded the Cork-based marketing and advertising agency Noise in 2016, where he worked as Marketing Director, collaborating with many recognisable brands across Cork and Ireland.
His co-founder and closest friend, Robbie Roche, paid a touching tribute to the popular young man, sharing how Paul “brought an energy and a kindness to his daily life that made everyone around him feel valued.”
“He genuinely cared about the people he worked with,” Robbie said.
In a heartfelt statement, he wrote: “It is with a profound sense of shock and a very heavy heart that I write to you today with some devastating news. Our Co-Founder and dear friend, Paul Collins, passed away from a tragic accident.
“I am struggling to find the words to capture what Paul meant to me and to this company,” he shared in a post on Instagram, “Many of you knew him as a brilliant and dedicated professional, but he was so much more than that.
“He was my best friend. He was a devoted son, a wonderful brother, and a person who was fiercely loved by all who knew him. He brought an energy and a kindness to his daily life that made everyone around him feel valued. “Paul’s passion for his work was infectious. He loved nothing more than diving into a project and helping his clients succeed. He genuinely cared about the people he worked with and the businesses he helped build. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and deep compassion. “You are forever in our hearts. Love you always, Robbie & the noise team”
Paul will be laid to rest on Wednesday. His funeral notice reads: “Dearly loved son of Denis and Teresa (née O’Shea), much loved brother of Sr. Mary Joseph and Ronan.
“Paul touched the lives of many people and will be sadly missed by his loving parents, brother, sister, uncles, aunt, cousins, relatives and his many friends, especially his best friend Robbie.”
His Requiem Mass takes place at 11.00am on Wednesday (3rd June) in The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Shanakiel followed by funeral afterwards to St. James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd.
