Mick passed away on 5th June 2026, peacefully, at The Residence Nursing Home, Kilkenny. Beloved husband of Kathleen and much loved father of Jennifer, Barry, Derek and Catherine. Mick will be dearly missed by his loving family, sisters Tess and Bríd, brothers Liam, Joe and Clem, sons-in-law Mike and Callaghan, daughters-in-law Lorraine and Breda, his darling grandchildren Tadhg, Emma, Cal, Hannah and Fionn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, wonderful neighbours, former work colleagues and his many friends.
Predeceased by his siblings Thomas, Paddy, Seán, Ger and Jean.
Mick’s family would like to thank in a special way all the staff at The Residence Nursing Home and Palliative Care at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny for the kindness and care shown to him throughout his illness

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Saturday (6th June) from 4pm with Funeral Prayers at 6.15pm followed by removal to St. John’s Church. Funeral Mass on Sunday morning at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
