Bernie O’Reilly (Nee Lawless) Formerly Knocklyon, Dublin and Duniry, Galway. (4th June 2026) Bernie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends in the Oncology Unit at Sligo University Hospital following a brief illness.
Predeceased by her parents Brendan and Philomena (Minnie) Lawless and sister Marie Theresa. Bernie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Aidan, her children Oisín (Vanessa), Aisling, Ciarán (Tara) and Aoibheann, her brother Gerry, his wife Carmel, their children Karen, Tomás and Niamh, brothers and sisters in law, cousins, as well as a wide circle of extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Bernie’s pure soul rest in peace.
Her kindness, warmth and gentle presence will be remembered with love and gratitude by everyone whose lives she touched.
Bernie will be reposing at Nazareth House Chapel, Church Hill, Sligo. (F91 DD72) this Sunday from 3 o’clock to 6 o’clock. Funeral to arrive at St Colmcille’s Church, (F91 Y068), Rathcormac, Co. Sligo on Monday for her Requiem mass at 12 o’clock.
