The story that Inter are interested in Curtis Jones is one of the most intriguing subplots of the summer.
The Italian club were keen in January but Liverpool never had any intention of entering into dialogue over the midfielder at the time.
However, the Nerazzurri haven’t been totally put off by that and are at the table once more for the 25-year-old, who has been on Liverpool’s books since the age of six.
Reports in Italy have claimed the valuations between the clubs are still someway apart but the arrival of Andoni Iraola perhaps makes the entire decision more difficult for Jones, if he had been contemplating his future.
It’s fair to reflect that Jones was keen for more regular game-time but Iraola may be able to offer him that more than Arne Slot.
With a year left on his terms, it’s shaping up to be a critically important period for Jones’s career this.
