The draw for Round 3 of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was confirmed earlier this morning, with some massive GAA games on the horizon this weekend.

We were treated to a thrilling weekend of action over the last few days, one which was not short on shock results. Two of this year’s big Sam Maguire favourites, Donegal and Armagh, would suffer losses to Cork and Louth respectively.

Here’s what you can look forward to this weekend.

GAA draw: All-Ireland Round 3 ties confirmed

The draw for Round 3 of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship took place earlier this morning on Morning Ireland. With some massive games in store with Armagh v Kerry and Dublin v Donegal being the standout games. Mayo will host Meath in Castlebar and Monaghan will welcome Leinster champions Westmeath to Clones.

Repeats of pairings from the provincial finals and the first round of the All-Ireland series were avoided. Here is the draw in full:

Dublin v Donegal

Kerry v Armagh

Monaghan v Westmeath

Mayo v Meath

Teams listed first will have home advantage in round 3.

Dates and TV Schedule confirmed for Round 3 fixtures

Kerry vs Armagh will be broadcast on GAA+ at 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon from Fitzgerald Stadium.

Mayo v Meath will place at 6.15pm that night in MacHale Park, Castlebar also live on GAA+.

Sunday afternoon would see Dublin v Donegal at 1:15pm at Croke Park live on RTÉ, despite Ger Brennan suggesting Dublin’s next game could be held at Parnell Park.

Rounding out the weekend would then be Monaghan and Westmeath in Clones at 4pm on GAA+.

Saturday

4pm – Kerry vs Armagh, Fitzgerald Stadium (GAA+)
6.15pm – Mayo vs Meath, MacHale Park (GAA+)

Sunday

1.15pm – Dublin vs Donegal, Croke Park (RTÉ)

4pm – Monaghan vs Westmeath, Clones (GAA+)

This will be the final round that was introduced as part of the new All-Ireland format. The winners from these four games will advance to the All-Ireland quarter-finals, while the losers will be eliminated. Galway, Tyrone, Louth, and Cork have already booked their spot in the last eight.

With some big teams having suffered shock defeats in recent weeks, here’s hoping for another weekend of exciting GAA action.
