Jimmy Kimmel mocked Trump’s “increasingly childish” G7 behavior, joking that world leaders seemed stuck managing his complaints during an awkward moment

Jimmy Kimmel turned President Donald Trump’s appearance at the 2026 G7 Summit into late-night gold, mocking what he described as the president’s “increasingly childish” conduct.
The ABC host began his monologue with jokes about earthquake warnings in California before shifting to Trump’s trip to France, where leaders had gathered for the summit.
“Donald Trump’s having quite a day today,” Kimmel said. “The president was in France tonight throwing his weight around at the G7 summit.” Kimmel said Trump arrived 45 minutes late to a meeting with other leaders, with aides reportedly saying he had been on “an important call back home.” Kimmel noted that it would have been about 3:30 a.m. in Washington. The news follows Trump facing backlash from Fox News viewers over an awkward three-word boast.
“I don’t know who he’s talking to,” Kimmel said.
The host then played a clip of Trump greeting the room by saying, “Well, hello. I’m the boss.”
“Oh man, they must hate him so much, right?” Kimmel said. “I mean, can you imagine the conversations that go on behind his back?”
Kimmel also took aim at Trump’s complaints after taking his seat, saying the president objected to the height of his chair and the temperature in the room.
“Like it’s too hot in here, huh?” Trump said in the clip.
Kimmel said Trump looked “all steamed up” after walking around the table and joked about his hair, saying that in France “they call that a soufflé.”
“Trump’s behavior at the G7 is increasingly childish each time he goes,” Kimmel said. “These other foreign leaders, I feel sorry for them. I really do.”
He compared dealing with Trump to opening “a can of soda that got shaken up,” adding, “You know it’s going to spray. All you can really do is try to aim it away from your face.”
Kimmel also highlighted a group photo from the summit, saying Trump was left standing alone after the other leaders walked away.
“That might be the saddest photo I’ve ever seen,” Kimmel said.

Trump later attended a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles, where Kimmel joked about the pair’s extended handshake.
“These two are constantly holding hands,” Kimmel said. “I don’t know if it’s a dominance thing or if they’re just being friendly or maybe Trump is about to fall.”
Kimmel said sending Trump into Versailles was “like sending an ape to the opera,” adding that Trump was “probably the only person who could look around Versailles and think needs more gold.”
The host also criticized Trump’s remarks about a tentative Iran agreement. In one clip, Trump said, “It’s a very strong deal. Nobody knows what it is, but it’s very strong.”
“Nobody knows what it is, but it’s very strong,” Kimmel repeated. “That’s how you describe the smell of a dead person before you find the body.”
