Dublin have been boosted by the inclusion of Con O’Callaghan in their starting side for Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Galway at Croke Park.

Ger Brennan’s talisman was his usual influential self in the Round 3 win over Donegal, notching 1-05 (1-04 from play), before limping off with an apparent hamstring injury in extra-time.

Given his fitness travails this year, there were real fears the Cuala man would miss out against the Westerners, but Ger Brennan has named him at centre-forward for the 4pm throw-in (live on RTÉ2).

The only change to the starting 15 is the inclusion of Eoin Kennedy at full-back, O’Callaghan’s clubmate replacing Nathan Doran, who is not in the matchday squad after suffering a suspected Achilles injury against Donegal.

Meanwhile Kerry have named an unchanged team from the 15 that impressed against Armagh last weekend – Jack O’Connor trusting the same personnel to get the job done against Tyrone on Saturday in their quarter-final clash.

Micheál Burns returns from his two-game suspension to take his place on the bench, following his sending off for his role in the melee that marred Kerry’s defeat to Donegal last month.

Elsewhere, ahead of their Sunday showdown with Louth at headquarters, Monaghan manager Gabriel Bannigan has also kept faith with the team that saw off Westmeath last weekend, easing concerns around the fitness of goalkeeper Rory Beggan.
