The formal approval of the Business Case and completion of the site acquisition of Castelbar’s Military Barracks for the Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim Education and Training Board College of the Future project has been announced.
The site is now set to be redeveloped into an FET campus which will cater to over 1,000 students each year in a variety of courses including agriculture, science, and mechanics.
The project will now advance to the next stage, with the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and SOLAS progressing the framework for detailed design, pre-tender and construction phases.
