Traffic restrictions in Dublin city centre are being put in place in phases this morning ahead of the annual Dublin Pride Parade.
O’Connell Street Upper, O’Connell Street Lower, Cathal Brugha Street and Talbot Street, are closed at 8am until 4pm this afternoon.
Other road and public transport restrictions will come into force later.
The parade sets off from O’Connell Street at 12.30pm this afternoon and will last for around 2 hours, ending at Merrion Square.
More than 100,000 people are expected to take part in the event.
The theme of this year’s Pride celebrations is: One Story – Many Voices.
Dublin Pride say that the theme focuses on the unifying thread that connects the community across time, borders, and very different lived experiences.
As well as the Parade and a party in Pride Square, there will be exhibitions, tours, live performances, go-go dancing, face painting, pottery making, stand-up comedy and sound baths.
