The death has occurred peacefully of Margaret Mooney (née Feeney Wheeler), surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff at North West Hospice.
Predeceased by her beloved parents, sisters and brothers.
Beloved wife of Kevin and dear mother of Valerie McLoughlin and Joanne Horan.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law Gareth and Seth, grandchildren Daniel, Kayleigh and Alexander, sisters Patsy, Ann and Lily, brothers Sandy, Jimmy, Cyril and Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Tuesday 30th June 2026 from 5:30pm with Removal at 7:00pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Ballytivnan, Sligo, arriving at 7:30pm. Funeral mass will take place on Wednesday 1st July 2026 at 11:00am, followed by a private Cremation Service for family at McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home, Collooney, Co. Sligo.
