Family trips to the theme park are a little different for royals. At least that was certainly the case for the royals of Monaco yesterday, when Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, and their twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at Germany’s Europa-Park theme park. The family, joined by Albert’s sister, Princess Stephanie of Monaco, officially inaugurated a new Monaco-themed area of the park.
For the event, Charlene opted for a summery white ensemble, sporting a midi shirtdress is drapey silk by Loro Piana. The style featured military-style utility details, like oversized breast pockets and epaulettes, as well as a gathered waist emphasized by a built-in white leather belt. She completed the look with gold and pearl earrings and saddle brown pumps.

The kids likewise took the upscale casual note, with Jacques dressing up a pair of jeans and navy slip-on loafers with a white Oxford shirt and Navy sport coat, mimicking his father’s style. Gabriella brought a pop of color in a vibrant coral sleeveless dress and metallic flat sandals.
While the 11 year old twins are still too young to be working royals, they do often accompany their parents to events. Jacques, in particular, has become a regular fixture at the F1 Grand Prix race, which he joined his father at earlier this month to celebrate Monaco’s long racing history.

Late on Monday evening, Monaco was shocked by the explosion of a parcel bomb outside of a residential building, with three reported as wounded. Earlier today, Prince Albert shared his family’s support for the victims and the people of Monaco at large. He also commended the work by the Public Security forces, who are reportedly working in conjunction with French authorities to investigate the bombing.
“My thoughts are first and foremost with the victims, their loved ones, and the residents directly affected by this brutal act,” he wrote in a statement. “Princess Charlene, my family, and I wish to express our deepest compassion and unwavering support. We also want to recognize the outstanding work of the Public Security forces, who have handled this situation with professionalism and composure, ensuring that the victims received immediate medical care and that the area was secured without delay.”
He added, “More than ever, the Principality of Monaco will remain united and resolute in the face of violence and crime. The safety of our community has always been a priority, and it will remain so now more than ever, regardless of the threats we face.”
