Diaz to dazzle Ghana in World Cup knockout showdown!
The early hours of Saturday morning feature the final Round of 32 clash at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as in-form Colombia take on Ghana in Kansas. Nestor Lorenzo’s team bested Portugal to finish unbeaten at the top of Group K as Ghana landed third in Group L in behind England and Croatia.

Colombia to win (90 mins)
Colombia have thrilled fans so far at the World Cup with seven points from three games and they were unlucky not to beat Portugal last time out in Miami. Wins over Uzbekistan and DR Congo meant a knockout place was already assured ahead of facing Cristiano Ronaldo and the lads, but their high-octane form shows little sign of slowing down.
Ghana in contrast have gritted their way to the Round of 32 with four points and just two goals scored. That 0-0 draw with England showed how Carlo Queiroz can set up a team to defend against superior opposition, but Colombia have so many threats available, that’s it’s difficult to see how the Black Stars can keep them out.
Luis Diaz to score or assist
Luis Diaz scored and assisted a goal in Colombia’s opening win over Uzbekistan and was Colombia’s go-to guy in qualifying with seven goals – only bettered by Lionel Messi in CONMEBOL.
He’s averaging a shot on target per game so far at the World Cup and he came into the tournament on the back of a sensational season at Bayern Munich where he scored 26 goals and laid on 19 assists.
Daniel Munoz to have 1+ shots on target
Alongside the thrills and spills of Diaz, Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz has also popped up with some key goals, after bagging against both Uzbekistan and DR Congo. He was rested for the Portugal draw and only came on as a late sub – but he should be back in the starting XI here.
He will rocket forward from right-back, and even if he doesn’t make it three goals from three starts, he should test the Ghana keeper at least once.
Antoine Semenyo to have 1+ shots on target
Ghana have not had too much to shout about so far at the World Cup with just four shots on target in three games. Now that’s produced a 50% goal rate, but it’s not too exciting to watch.
Surprisingly, talisman Antoine Semenyo has not registered one of those efforts on target, with all three of his attempts so far flying wide. After ending the 2025/26 Premier League season as the third-highest scorer (17) – surely he can’t end the World Cup without forcing one keeper to make a save!
