Three men died on the country’s roads yesterday following crashes in counties Donegal, Cork and Kildare.
In Donegal, a man in his 20s died in a two-car collision in Ballymagan yesterday evening.
The crash happened in the Kinnego Cross area at around 9.10pm.
The man who died was the driver of one of the cars. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
Another man aged in his 20s, who was a passenger in the same vehicle, was taken hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the second car, a man aged in his late teens, and a passenger, a woman also aged in her late teens, were also treated for injuries described as non-life threatening.
The road where the crash happened has been closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
An appeal for witnesses has been issued and gardaĆ have asked anyone travelling near Kinnego Cross and who may have camera footage, including dashcam footage, to contact them.

In Co Cork, a motorcyclist died following a road traffic collision in Ballyhea yesterday evening.
The crash, which involved a jeep, happened on the N20 in the Castlewrixon area at around 8pm.
The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened at around 10.45am in the Killick area.
