The tragic victim of a road traffic collision in Inishowen has been named.
Young Buncrana man Aaron Friel died when the car he was driving collided with another car at Kinnego Cross, Ballymagan, shortly before 9:10pm last night.
Three other young adults were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Aaron’s obituary notice states that his family and many friends have been left “heartbroken by his untimely passing.”
His funeral arrangements will be confirmed later.
The Inishowen peninsula has been left shaken by the tragedy, with tributes to the young man also coming in from figures across the political spectrum.
