Scissor Sister Charlotte Mulhall could be released from prison within weeks after meeting the Parole Board.

Scissor Sister Charlotte Mulhall could walk free from prison in weeks after meeting with the parole board to discuss her release.
The killer, who is serving a life sentence for the brutal killing of her mother’s partner Farah Swaleh Noor in 2005, is awaiting the board’s decision which is understood to be due back before the end of August.
The 40-year-old is serving a life sentence at Limerick Prison but has been getting unsupervised overnight temporary release over the past year. It’s understood Mulhall has been recently granted weekly temporary release and has to sign on just once a week and abide by strict conditions which may include not drinking alcohol and staying within a curfew.
An image which appears to show Mulhall shopping for sweets in a supermarket in the west of Ireland is circulating. A member of the public is understood to have taken the picture, which shows a woman fitting Mulhall’s description, looking at products in the confectionary aisle in recent days.
A source said: “A picture of a woman, which looks very much like Mulhall, is doing the rounds and even some prison staff have seen it and believe it to be her. She has recently been granted weekly temporary release and only has to sign on once a week. Once she abides by strict parole conditions she will continue to be allowed to do this.
“She is waiting on a parole board decision for her full release. She is a model prisoner and stays out of trouble. She has been enjoying TR [temporary released] for the last year and has proved she can be trusted in this regard.
“The recent change of allowing her out for a week rather than just a night is a huge step forward to full freedom. It’s very likely she will get full release by the end of the summer. Her sister Linda is already free and it’s only a matter of time now before she is too.”
The killer is one of just a few female inmates who was given her own ‘apartments’ on the female wing of Limerick Prison.

A source said: “Mulhall was living in one of a few apartment style rooms at the prison. They look very much like an apartment you would see outside of jail and allowed her to adapt and get ready for full release.
“She was able to cook her own meals and clean and it has seen her strive. It will allow her to adapt into society again”
The Irish Prison Service said they do not comment on individual prisoners when contacted.
Linda Mulhall served 15 years for manslaughter. However, Charlotte, who stabbed Noor up to 20 times with a kitchen knife, was convicted of murder.
The brutal killing happened in her mother Kathleen’s apartment at Richmond Cottage, Ballybough in North Dublin in March 2005.
While Charlotte stabbed Noor, Linda struck him with a hammer after the sisters claimed he had tried to rape one of them. They then chopped up his remains inside the bathroom.
The sisters then dumped Noor’s limbs and torso in the Royal Canal before taking his head on the bus to Tallaght in West Dublin. His head has never been found but it is believed to have been hidden in a park before being moved.
