Two men in their 20s have appeared in court charged with assault causing harm in south Dublin earlier this week.

The charges, under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997, relate to an incident at an apartment complex in Clonskeagh on Monday 6 July.

Hicham Djerbi and Achour Ingrachen, both with an address at 26 Friarsland Crescent on Roebuck Road in Clonskeagh, face two charges of assault causing harm to two men at the same address.

Hicham Djerbi was also charged with possession of drugs under Section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act,1977.

The 26-year-olds were brought before DĂșn Laoghaire district court this morning.

The court heard that the two men were taken to Blackrock Garda Station for questioning on 7 July and later charged.

Garda Stephen Maguire gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.

Both of the accused were represented by solicitor Andrew Vallely. There was no objection to bail.

Judge Conor Fottrell granted bail with conditions that the two men surrender their passports and sign on at Dundrum Garda Station once a week.

They are due to appear in court again on 11 January 2027 for DPP directions.

A third man in his 20s who was also arrested, has been charged and is due in court later today.
