Charleen Murphy has shared her first statement on social media following her shock exit from Love Island.
During Tuesday night’s dramatic episode, a surprise recoupling saw Kavan choose Jasmine while Simba coupled up with Angelista, leaving Casa Amor girls Mara and Charleen single and vulnerable. The pair were subsequently dumped from the villa.
A few days after her departure, Charleen took to social media to reflect on her time in the villa and thank fans for their support.
She wrote: “what a whirlwind.” It might only have been nine days, but entering the love island villa was an experience I’ll never forget. I leave with unforgettable memories, friendships I’ll always cherish, and so much gratitude for having had the opportunity.”
although it wasn’t the ending I imagined, one thing this experience has reminded me is that staying true to yourself is always enough. I would’ve loved a little more time in the villa, simply because I know there’s so much more to me,” she added.
But every emotion, every word, every feeling you saw came from a genuine place. I always believe that having a soft heart is a strength, not a weakness and that’s something I’ll carry with me long after this experience.”
You can’t control every outcome, but you can control the way you treat people. I truly believe that if you stay authentic, lead with kindness, and keep your heart open, thats something you can be proud of, she wrote.
“Thank you so much to everyone who supported me and has taken time to send me the kindest messages. Reading your love has meant more than you’ll ever know. Its reminded me that we’re really all just girls figuring out life, love + the rest all together.
This chapter may have been short, but I can’t wait to see what’s next ,” she concluded the post.
