The draw has been made for who is going to wear their home kit for the All-Ireland football final between Kerry and Mayo.
The Sam Maguire final is all set now after last weekend’s slate of pulsating action. On Saturday, we saw the Connacht side trounce Louth 3-23 to 0-15 at Croke Park, with Ryan O’Donoghue smashing over 1-11 of that score himself.
It’s the Yew County’s first All-Ireland final since 2021, and it’s possibly the last opportunity for the likes of Aidan O’Shea, who is now 36, and Kobe McDonald, the 18-year-old phenom who is set to move to Australia after next weekend to join St Kilda in the AFL.

Then on Sunday we were given a classic as Kerry and Dublin duked it out once again, this time in the semi instead of a final. And it was Clifford and the reigning champions who came out on top, 2-18 to 0-20.
It wasn’t without controversy as Dublin felt they had a goal not rewarded after the ball crossed the line and The Kingdom were wrongfully rewarded a goal after a square ball.
However, the final has been set and it’s now been decided who will be wearing their green jersey on July 26 at Croke Park, with one side needing to wear a changed kit because of the obvious clash.

In a statement, the GAA said: ‘As there is a clash between the jerseys and the alternative jerseys, the CCCC held a draw, in the presence of both County Secretaries, to determine which team would wear their traditional jerseys and which would wear their alternative jerseys.
‘Based on the draw, Ciarraí will wear their home kit, and Maigh Eo will wear their alternate.’
So The Kingdom will wear their green and gold, meanwhile Mayo’s current away kit is a dark navy which could still clash with Kerry’s dark green, or they can go for their 1951 All-Ireland winning memorial white kit they wore in Killarney earlier this year.
