Water supply disruptions are expected in Clonmel today due to low water reservoir levels.
The Glenary Water Treatment Plant has been returned to normal operation following an interruption to water production, but low water levels at the reservoir will take time to replenish.
Uisce Éireann advises this may result in supply disruptions for customers in Elm Park, Haywood Road, Glenconnor, Cherrymount, Ballingranne, Powerstown Road, Silverspring, and surrounding areas today.
Alternative water supplies will be available from 1pm at Ballygarrane (across from Woodies) and the Civil Defence Office, Haywood Road.
Supply interruptions and restrictions have been affecting a number of areas across Co Tipperary since the onset of the heatwave.
These include Drangan Village and surrounds, Cashel, and those on the Dundrum Regional Water Supply Scheme.
Alternative supplies are being made available locally.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
