Actor Kalyani Priyadarshan revealed that she had thought about quitting movies after the overwhelming success of ‘Lokah.’ However, it was her father Priyadarshan’s words that dissuaded her. Kalyani spoke about her conversation with her father while speaking at the success event of the movie in the UK.

“I had contemplated quitting movies after Lokah. I didn’t know what to do anymore. It was my father who advised me against it. After his movie ‘Chithram’ ran for 365 days in the theatres, he believed he had achieved everything. But, he made ‘Kilukkam’ after that. He advised me not to believe that it is the greatest success and to keep working hard,” said Kalyani, adding that her father’s words were inspiring.

Meanwhile, ‘Lokah’, which is expected to cross Rs 300 crore in gobal connection soon, has broken all box office records in Malayalam cinema. It also also became the Malayalam movie that received the most votes on Book My Show. The makers of Lokah had recently released a new teaser announcing the second part of the franchise. The teaser hints that it would feature Tovino Thomas’ Chathan character in the lead.
