Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is inviting students who have recently completed the final year of an undergraduate course at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) or Ulster University to take part in the TCS Early Career AI Hackathon 2026.
This innovation challenge is designed to showcase emerging talent and explore how artificial intelligence can address real-world problems.
Taking place at the TCS Letterkenny Global Delivery Centre from 6–13 August 2026, the week-long event will challenge participants to develop AI-enabled solutions in Education, Healthcare, and Public Services & Community Impact.
The hackathon will give recent undergraduate students practical experience beyond the classroom, encouraging them to apply technical knowledge, creative thinking and problem-solving skills to meaningful challenges. Participants will work individually to identify a problem, design a solution, develop a prototype or concept, and present their ideas to TCS judges and industry professionals.
Students with interests in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Analytics and technology for social impact are encouraged to apply. The opportunity is open to undergraduate students only, and no professional experience is required.
The event is also an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their capabilities in a real-world environment. TCS representatives will assess technical ability, creativity, communication, adaptability and problem-solving approach. Strong performers may be considered for future employment opportunities and progression through relevant TCS recruitment processes.

Applications are open to students who have recently completed the final year of an undergraduate course at ATU or Ulster University or are residing in the Northwest region. Due to anticipated demand, places are limited and participants will be selected based on their application and demonstrated interest in AI, innovation and problem-solving.
