The Treaty County sign up for another All Ireland!
Alongside the small matter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, Sunday also features the All-Ireland Hurling championship final at Croke Park as Limerick take on Galway.
Sunday’s showdown sees Limerick back in the final for the first time since 2023, where they won a fourth consecutive All-Ireland crown against Kilkenny, and Galway return to the biggest stage for the first time in nine years.
Ahead of the final, Paddy Power tipster Feargal Brennan dives into the markets, with three picks for Sunday’s battle.
All-Ireland betting tips

#Whatoddspaddy – 4+ match goals and Limerick to win
#Whatoddspaddy – Aidan O’Connor OR Gearoid Hegarty first goalscorer
RTE Man of the Match – Gearoid Hegarty
Limerick v Galway
WHEN: Sunday, July 19th, 3:30pm
WHERE: Croke Park, Dublin.
TV: RTE2/BBC2 NI
#Whatoddspaddy – 4+ match goals and Limerick to win
Both sides have impressed on route to this final meeting as Galway hammered Dublin in June’s Leinster final and Limerick beat old foes Cork by a single point in Munster. That meant a path straight to the semis, as Galway beat Cork by 11 points, and Limerick managed to edge out a two-pointier against Clare.
Despite Galway winning by bigger margins in recent games, the grit Limerick have shown is crucial, alongside their experience in the biggest matches. They’ve contested five of the last eight All-Ireland finals, and won them all, with no defeat in this game since 2007.
Galway’s potent attack will cause problems, and the goals should fly, with the Tribesmen netting two against Cork. They scored 15 in six Leinster games, including four in the final win over Dublin, and Limerick are averaging just over two goals scored per game so far in the championship.
#Whatoddspaddy – Aidan O’Connor OR Gearoid Hegarty first goalscorer
As we head into Sunday’s final, there’s two names to keep an eye out for in Limerick’s forward line, after the semi victory over Clare. Aidan O’Connor scored 1-9 in that game bringing him up to 4-48 (60) for 2026 competition so far.
Gearoid Hegarty bagged Limerick’s only goal in the Munster win over Clare and he’s always a threat. He also has an aura on All Ireland final day with three goals split across his last three All Ireland finals.
RTE Man of the Match – Gearoid Hegarty
Hegarty is so often the man for the big occasion and he was RTE’s Man of the Match against Clare last time out. He also won the MVP in Limerick’s 2020 and 2022 final wins over Waterford and Kilkenny respectively and he’s at an eye-catching price to do it again on Sunday.
