St. Patrick’s Athletic will have home advantage against holders Shamrock Rovers in the plum tie in the Club Orange Men’s FAI Cup third round draw.
The draw, made live on RTÉ Radio 1, saw Stephen Bradley’s side, who were in the midst of a Champions League qualifier defeat in Armenia, handed an away assignment at Richmond Park.
Kerry FC have been rewarded with a trip to Sligo Rovers after their shock win against Shelbourne.
Kerry famously defeated the Bit O’Red in last year’s quarter-final, before bowing out at the penultimate stage to eventual champions Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght.
Bohemians will host Longford Town in a repeat of the 2001 decider, when Tony O’Connor scored the winner for the Dalymount side.
Galway United will welcome Bray Wanderers to Eamonn Deacy Park.
2024 winners Drogheda United will have to make the trip to Cork to face College Corinthians, while 12-times winners Dundalk have been drawn at home against Castlebar Celtic from Mayo.
The games will be played on the weekend ending Sunday, 16 August.
