The Spider-Man star first revealed the news during a recent interview with Esquire, before referring to Zendaya as his “wife” again in a series of interviews promoting Christopher Nolan’s latest film, The Odyssey.
Speaking on the UK podcast Dish, Holland joked that she would be his ideal holiday companion, adding that it would be strange to choose co-star Matt Damon instead.
While promoting the film, Holland also shared that Zendaya encouraged him to accept the role, jokingly telling him she would “leave” him if he turned down the opportunity to work with Nolan.
In another interview, he playfully dismissed a fan theory about Zendaya’s character, Athena, having romantic feelings for Damon’s Odysseus, saying: “No, because she’s married to me.”
The couple have kept their wedding largely out of the public eye.
Earlier this year, Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach revealed that the pair had already tied the knot, but Holland had previously declined to share any further details, simply saying that his friends and family “were all there.”
Holland and Zendaya first met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 and confirmed their relationship in 2021.
They currently star together in The Odyssey and will reunite on screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is due for release later this month.
