Former Real Madrid and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has completed his move to Inter Miami.
The 34-year-old Brazil international his signed a deal which will keep him at Miami, where he will be a team-mate of Argentina star Lionel Messi, until the end of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season with an option to extend his stay until June 2029, subject to the award of a visa.
Casemiro, a free agent after the expiry of his contract at Old Trafford at the end of last season, arrives with five Champions League winners’ medals, as well as FA and League Cup success in England, under his belt.
Capped 91 times by his country – the last five of them at the World Cup finals – the former Sao Paulo player brings vast experience to his new club.

Phil Foden has put pen to paper to extend his stay at Manchester City
Manchester City’s Phil Foden has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2030, the English Premier League club announced.
The new deal reinforces City’s commitment to the academy graduate, who has made 411 appearances and scored 131 goals since breaking into the first team under Pep Guardiola in 2017, winning six Premier League titles, the Champions League and three FA Cups.
Foden registered 10 goals and seven assists in 50 appearances for City across all competitions last season, but the 26-year-old was omitted from England’s World Cup squad by manager Thomas Tuchel after a dip in form in 2026, during which he failed to score and managed only three assists.
Manchester City will begin their Premier League campaign under new manager Enzo Maresca on 23 August against Bournemouth.
Issa Diop in action for Morocco at the World Cup
Meanwhile, Ipswich have further strengthened their squad with the signing of Morocco defender Issa Diop from Fulham.
Centre-back Diop, 29, has signed a contract with the newly-promoted Premier League club until the summer of 2030 in a deal worth a reported £8.5million.
He joined Fulham from West Ham in the summer of 2022.
On Tuesday, Ipswich brought in Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu from Leicester as well as completing a move for Dutch goalkeeper Kayne van Oevelen.
The Suffolk club have also agreed a deal to sign Japan forward Daizen Maeda from Celtic, it is understood.
Elsewhere, Middlesbrough have completed the signing of highly-rated forward Will Lankshear (above) from Tottenham.
Lankshear, 21, has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Championship club in a deal which could rise to £20million, it is understood.
An excellent 2025-26 campaign on loan at Oxford earned Lankshear plenty of admirers in England and overseas and, while he remained hopeful of being given a chance at Spurs, with a pathway to the senior set-up blocked, he has been allowed to leave for an initial £10m, with a further £10m in add-ons part of the financial package.
Tottenham have inserted a 20% sell-on clause and a matching rights condition in the deal, which may allow Lankshear to return to the Premier League club in the future.
