Three people have been taken to hospital following a shooting at a house in Ennis, Co Clare, on Friday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 7am in the Dún Na Hinse area. The scene of the incident has been sealed off for a technical examination.
A Garda spokesperson said they are “investigating the discharge of a firearm at a residential premises in Ennis, Co Clare”.
A man, aged in his 50s, has been taken to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.
Two other people, whom were in the house, have also been taken to UHL as a precautionary measure.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
