The death has occurred peacefully in Catherine McAuley House, Limerick, of Sr. Philomena Hanratty on Saturday 25th July 2026, surrounded by her loving Community of Salesian Sisters and family.
Formerly of Drumpeak, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan and latterly of Clondalkin, Dublin and Caherdavin, Limerick.
Predeceased by her parents John and Maud. Her brothers Patrick (Paddy), James, John (Johnny) and her sisters Bernadette, Ann (Annie) and Mary.
Sadly missed by her Salesian Sisters Community, her brothers, Peter and Philip, her sisters-in-law, Josephine and Teresa, her brother-in-law Joe, her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, friends, neighbours, and parishioners.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Monday evening 27th July from 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm.
Arriving at Christ the King Church, Caherdavin on Tuesday 28th July for Mass at 10 am.
Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Care, Kingscourt A82 R3W2 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday 29th July.
Arriving at Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt for 6 p.m. Requiem Mass on Thursday 30th July at 10 a.m. with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
