Visitors to Co Tipperary can now use artificial intelligence to plan a personalised holiday itinerary, as Tipperary Tourism launches a new digital tool aimed at showcasing the county’s attractions.
The new AI-powered itinerary planner allows visitors to create customised travel plans in seconds based on their interests, the length of their stay and who they are travelling with.
The platform, which is available through Tipperary.com, recommends experiences ranging from outdoor adventures and heritage attractions to food, arts, wellness and family activities. It also provides real-time visitor information for people already staying in the county.
The technology has been developed in partnership with Irish tourism technology company Great Visitor Experiences.
Tipperary Tourism Chairwoman Helen King said the county had always offered an exceptional range of experiences, from its landscapes and heritage to its towns and communities.
She said the new AI-powered planner would help visitors discover experiences tailored to their interests, making it easier than ever to plan a trip and build a stronger connection with the county.
Tipperary Tourism Development Officer Mairéad Winters said the platform would encourage visitors to explore more of the county while supporting local businesses, accommodation providers and tourism operators.
The itinerary planner features recommendations for attractions including the Rock of Cashel, Roscrea Castle and Demesne, the Devil’s Bit, Lough Derg, Nenagh Arts Centre, South Tipperary Arts Centre, Tipperary County Museum and Mitchelstown Cave, while also highlighting lesser-known walking trails, artisan food producers and independent accommodation.
Ms King said the ambition was for every visitor to feel their Tipperary experience had been created specifically for them.
