A man in his 40s has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Clare.
The crash occurred just after 7.00am this morning on the R462 in Ballymorris, Cratloe, Co Clare.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The road is currently closed, and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the R462 in Ballymorris, Cratloe, Co Clare between 6.30am and 7.10am today.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam or mobile phone recordings) are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
