It’s the second big lotto win in Cork this week

One lucky Loto player in Cork has kicked off the August bank holiday with a bang, securing tax-free payments of €2,000 per month for the next five years.
Two players based in Cork and Wexford managed to pick the winning numbers in Thursday’s EuroDreams draw. While they missed out on the top prize of €20,000 per month, there won’t be many complaints as each winner will still take home €120,000 over the next five years.
The Cork player purchased a ticket and chose their own numbers on the day of the draw, while the Westmeath player purchased a Quick Pick ticket, also on the day of the draw – a last-minute decision they’ll both be very glad to have made.
EuroDreams is the first annuity game of its kind in Ireland, offering tax-free monthly payments rather than a lump sum. EuroDreams draws take place every Monday and Thursday across eight EU countries.
The winning numbers in the Thursday, 30th July, EuroDreams draw were: 04, 12, 21, 27, 34, 39 and Dream number 01.
Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “What a way to head into the August Bank Holiday weekend. Two online players in Cork and Westmeath have secured a fantastic EuroDreams Tier 2 prize that is worth €2,000 every month for the next five years. With more than 19,000 winners across Ireland in last night’s draw, there were plenty of reasons to celebrate.”
The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification and an email have been sent to both online players. The winners are advised to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of their prize.
It’s the second major win in Cork this week after another punter took home the top prize in Sunday’s daily millions, securing themselves a seven-figure payout. The Quick Pick ticket was bought at Tom Stanley’s store inside the Kent Station, and store manager Musharaf Hussain said he was delighted by the big win.
