A Kerry native is among those awarded under this year’s Commemorations Bursary Scheme.
The funding aims to encourage research and promote the projects of Irish historians.
John Flaherty from Kilflynn was among 11 grant recipients, for his work entitled ‘An Instrument of Improvement? The Farming Society of Ireland 1800-1827’
His study examines the development of Irish agriculture in the early 18th century.
Mr. Flaherty’s findings will be presented alongside an exhibition in Galway and Dublin.
