Leeds United are interested in signing Burnley striker Zian Flemming in the coming weeks, with the Championship side now braced for bids, according to Football Insider.
Flemming enjoyed a fruitful 2025/26 season despite the Clarets’ relegation, netting 11 goals in 29 Premier League appearances. This return has proved to be enough for top-flight clubs to express interest in prying the number nine away from the Championship.
Burnley’s new manager Nick Hayen has already confirmed that the Lancashire outfit will listen to offers for Flemming, and Leeds have emerged as the frontrunners in the last few weeks.
However, Brentford are also keen on landing the 27-year-old’s signature, as they look to provide the prolific Igor Thiago with cover and competition.
Leeds Interested in Signing Zian Flemming
Leeds need to make some serious reinforcements if they are to improve upon last season’s 14th-place finish and consolidate themselves as a Premier League side.
James Trafford is closing in on a switch from Manchester City, although more additions at the front end of the pitch are arguably what Daniel Farke’s squad needs the most.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin enjoyed an excellent debut season at Elland Road, netting 15 goals in all competitions, but the English centre-forward is notoriously unreliable from a fitness standpoint and is entering the latter stages of his career.
Leeds need a dependable striker who can provide Calvert-Lewin with competition, and Flemming may be the ideal candidate to fill this role in Farke’s ensemble.
Football Insider report that the Whites’ interest in Flemming is genuine, and that Burnley are bracing themselves for official proposals in the near future.
However, Brentford are also showing interest, complicating matters for Farke. The German manager wants to get a deal for a new forward over the line before the season starts, so that the player can acclimatise swiftly and be ready for the opening weeks of the campaign.
Leeds Should Beat Brentford to Flemming Signing

Leeds have every reason to be worried about Brentford entering the race for Flemming. The Bees have money to play with after selling Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa for huge fees last summer, while they’re also an established Premier League club looking to compete in Europe over the coming years.
That said, this should be a deal that Leeds are able to get over the line should they agree a deal with Burnley. The stature of the Yorkshire club may well appeal to Flemming, and he’ll be well aware of this, having lived in the north of England for many years now.
On top of this, the Clarets star may see Calvert-Lewin as someone he is more likely to displace than Thiago, given what the latter produced last season and the two players’ respective ages.
