An Ireland South MEP says a new national play strategy is needed for children.
Kilcummin native and Fine Gael MEP Seán Kelly made the call.
The existing strategy is 24-years-old and MEP Kelly says the childhood experience has changed dramatically in the intervening period.
He says children spend more time on screens now, and he feels that more green spaces and play areas are needed for them; he also believes this would help with integration.
