Coronation Street’s Idris Nazir forces Ollie Driscoll to play a dodgy game of poker for him next week, as his desperation to buy Alya’s share in Speed Daal reaches new heights. But how will Leanne Battersby react to the shady gathering taking place on her premises?
The week begins with Alya informing Idris that she wants a whopping £50,000 for her share in Speed Daal. Initially, it’s too much cash for Idris to cough up – but when the landlord learns that Ollie is a poker whizz, he comes up with an idea to help him secure the funds he needs…

“Alya is adamant that it’s either £50,000 or nothing,” explains our Corrie spy. “Idris then heads over to Speed Daal and plays chess with Sam Blakeman, which prompts Ollie to reveal that he was ace at poker back in the day. And it’s in that moment that Idris realises a poker night could solve all his problems!”
Wasting no time, Idris books Speed Daal for a private party, before informing Ollie and Lauren Bolton that he’s holding a poker night that neither Alya nor Leanne can find out about. Will Ollie and Lauren keep shtum?
Later in the week, Idris sidles up to Ollie and asks him to take part in the poker game for both their benefit.
“Idris comes up with an offer that Ollie just can’t refuse,” shares our insider. “He tells Ollie that he will provide the money, the odds will be rigged in his favour, and once he wins, he can keep a cut of the winnings. Who is Ollie to say no to free cash?”
In preparation for the game, Brody Michaelis sets up the restaurant with Lauren, who overhears Idris dishing out instructions to Ollie. Concerned, Lauren warns Ollie that if he’s caught cheating, he will land himself in serious trouble. Will Ollie listen to Lauren’s advice?

Once the players – including Kit Green and Fiona Morley – take their seats, Idris keeps a watchful eye on every move, while Brody secretly knocks back shots behind the bar. Eventually, Fiona and Ollie are the last two in the game, with Ollie ultimately claiming victory.
Used to getting her own way, Fiona is furious with the result, while Idris is overcome with relief – until he realises that Brody has been nicking booze from right underneath his nose!
“Idris has a proper go at Brody,” reveals our insider. “But it backfires on him, as Brody goes off and tells Leanne all about what Idris has been up to behind her back! And take it from us, Leanne is less than impressed…”
Leanne spots Idris waiting outside Speed Daal, but the businesswoman declares that he’s no longer welcome in the restaurant, before stalking off. Mortified, Idris races after Leanne, who berates him for gambling with her cash.
As Idris explains that the game was rigged and her money was never on the line, will Leanne forgive her man? Or has Idris ruined his relationship once and for all?
